Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130
- Location: Lima, Ohio

- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
- Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
- Recent acute-care hospital experience preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or eligibility through a compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider prior to providing direct patient care
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or ability to obtain it within the required timeframe
- Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to provide safe nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced step-down or telemetry environment
- Ability to safely lift, reposition, and assist with patient mobility while following infection-control and safety practices
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification are preferred
Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ clinical, physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
- Develop, implement, prioritize, and evaluate individualized plans of care using the nursing process
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with approved standards, policies, and scope of practice
- Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic status, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly with evidence-based interventions
- Care for patients with complex medical conditions, multisystem illness, trauma, and post-operative needs
- Manage patients with chest tubes, temporary or transvenous pacing, advanced respiratory needs, and conscious sedation requirements as assigned and within competency
- Collaborate with providers, care coordination teams, families, and interdisciplinary partners to promote coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and caregivers about diagnoses, treatments, medications, safety, and ongoing care needs
- Advocate for patient preferences, privacy, dignity, safety, and quality-of-life goals
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and participate in quality-improvement activities
- Remain calm and adaptable during emergencies, fluctuating workloads, and rapidly changing patient conditions
