Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care and develops individualized care plans. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient conditions, administering treatments and medications, and monitoring outcomes.
• Collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care.
• Delivering patient education, health counseling, and facilitating discharge planning.
• Practicing within the RN scope of practice and adhering to nursing standards.
• Recognizing and responding to patient complications and changes in condition.
• Supervising and delegating appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care.
• Ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership.

Nurse to Patient Ratio

The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with the possibility of flexing to 1:6. This position involves caring for patients at therapy level of care up to PCU level of care.

Work Schedule

This is a day shift position (7am - 7pm) totaling 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required. No on-call or holiday coverage is expected.

Training and Experience

Experience with EPIC and Pyxis is preferred; however, training will be provided. Familiarity with HARP/CPI is also preferred, with training available as needed.
