Job Title: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Cerner and Epic EMR experience required. Traveler is responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment, which must be passed to work in the Emergency Department. Description: This position provides support for the unit in preparation for an electronic medical record go-live. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to patients across various populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry. Floating to non-critical care inpatient units is required, including the Emergency Department. If the traveler has critical care experience, they may occasionally be floated to critical care units. The traveler must be available for an every other weekend rotation. Telemetry ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Med/Surg ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
