Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months in Med/Surg Telemetry License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience - Active and valid certifications in hand at the time of submission - Reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty Description: This position offers a contract for a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse. The role involves working night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week. Candidates should have a minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty. A valid Ohio nursing license or compact license must be obtained before starting. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Travelers will undergo assessments for ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation. Successful scores on both assessments are mandatory for contract continuation. Candidates must be nicotine-free, except for nurses and CSTs, who are currently exempt from nicotine requirements. A background check is required and will be conducted before starting. Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required break period before returning. Modules for orientation and ongoing education may be required, with specific time allocations explained. This position ensures a comprehensive support system within the nursing team.
