Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Med-Surg Telemetry Job Description: - Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, where you will play a vital role in evaluating patients and assisting physicians with top-notch patient care. - Plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. - Assess, prioritize, and address patient needs through ongoing evaluation and strategic planning. - Develop and coordinate an individualized plan of care, ensuring comprehensive and personalized attention. - Conduct thorough assessments based on patient needs, physician’s diagnoses, and functional health frameworks. - Perform therapeutic interventions that enhance patient recovery and well-being. - Manage patient care with empathy and professionalism, ensuring the highest standards are met. - Document care meticulously according to established standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards, fostering innovation in delivery methods. - Provide patient-centric care aligned with a professional nursing practice model. - Embrace additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team goals. Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit within a major acute care hospital. - Strong background in Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing is essential. Required Education: - Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Required Certifications & Licensure: - NIHSS certification. - Telemetry certification. - BLS-AHA certification. - CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours. - NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. Schedule Notes: - Shift: 7a-7p (x2), 7p-7a (x1). - Hours Per Week: 36. - Weekend Requirement: Every other or as needed. - Float Requirement: Yes.
