Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; schedule reviewed every 4-week period based on department needs; ratio 1:4; float requirements within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Highlights:
Medical/surgical oncology unit specializing in chemotherapy administration with continuous cardiac monitoring
Patient population includes breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus sickle cell crises
36-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and social services
Epic EMR system required; GE telemetry system, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention measures
72-hour orientation provided; oncology experience preferred but not required
Requirements:
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license)
Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience in relevant specialty
Current and consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months required
Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, IV starts, chest tube assistance, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation
2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
