Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,288 per week in O Fallon, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of Med-Surg/Cardiac/Telemetry experience License: Required Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BCLS Must-Have: ACLS, NIHSS, BCLS Description: Direct patient care in a Med-Surg/Telemetry-Oncology unit. Shift is 12 hours during the night. Schedule includes 3 days a week and every other weekend. Patient ratios are 1:4-5. May be required to float between facilities as needed. Candidates should have strong telemetry skills. Experience with managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias is essential. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is necessary. Involvement in rapid response and code teams is expected. Must be comfortable starting and maintaining IVs. Additional requirements include the ability to manage BiPAP/CPAP and administer blood products. Work will include care for acutely ill Med/Surg patients transitioning from ICU. Candidates will work with cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring and IV medications. The flu vaccine is required, with exceptions for medical or religious reasons. No on-call requirements for this position.
