Schedule: Day/Night shifts only, 12-hour shifts, staffing ratios typically 1:4 (may be 1:5 based on census), weekend coverage variable based on unit needs, floating required to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units
Highlights:
36-bed medical oncology unit caring for patients with solid tumor cancers across the full continuum of care
Comprehensive case mix including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus chemotherapy administration
Epic EMR system with telemetry monitoring and interpretation required
Oncology experience preferred but not required; medical-surgical oncology background welcomed
72-hour orientation provided with interdisciplinary support from pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
Previous travel experience preferred; local candidates accepted
Requirements:
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Competency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring, IV starts and maintenance, blood product administration, central line management, isolation precautions, and accessing/managing ports
Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required urgently upon contract signing
