Description:
Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day).
No local candidates within a specified radius.
COVID-19 vaccine is optional, but reporting of vaccination status is required.
Travelers will float to medical surgical/telemetry and other lower acuity settings within their skillset.
The expectation is to float to different areas, including emergency departments if necessary.
Patient ratios are typically 1:5 but may reach 1:6 based on acuity and resources.
Travelers are expected to work 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, subject to unit needs.
Relief charge may be required for new contracts starting on or after a specified date.
Candidates should have experience with adult and geriatric patients.
Units run above capacity, and a variety of patient diagnoses are treated, including heart failure, COPD, trauma, and sepsis.
The hospital functions as a Level I Trauma facility.
Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as therapy and social services.
Additional requirements include participation in mandatory training sessions.
The role involves a high level of independence with patient care and decision-making responsibilities.
Modular training may be required, and compliance with training guidelines is essential.
Candidates must pass EKG testing and other competency assessments.
No appointments can be made without meeting all the specified requirements.
