Description:
We are seeking experienced nurses to work on an overnight shift in a cardiac specialty unit.
Candidates should be prepared to care for a team of 6 patients.
Familiarity with diuretics, anticoagulants, inotropes, and rate-controlling medications is essential.
The nurse-to-patient ratio on nights is 1:5.
Weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs.
There is a float requirement within the scope of the position.
Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit before beginning.
The unit utilizes non-titratable cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, and Amiodarone.
Nurses are not responsible for performing cardioversions.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 30 patients.
