Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks contract options Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 2 years of experience required in a large urban hospital License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS strongly preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Experience managing drips - Ability to float across units as needed - Experience in a Level 1 Academic Medical Center for first time travelers Description: This position requires registered nurses to be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the facility. Travelers will be assigned to a unit based on their experience. If there are preferences for specific units, these should be communicated during the application process. Nurses may float to various units to support patient care. Travelers must comply with a nicotine-free policy and will be required to adhere to weekend and holiday work guidelines. Travelers are expected to work four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period, with specific weekend days required. A holiday requirement includes working two out of three major holidays. Candidates must be more than a specified distance from the facility to be eligible. Pending licenses are accepted, but licenses must be in hand by a certain timeframe. RNs are required to wear designated scrubs and are expected to prepare for a dynamic work environment with interdisciplinary support teams. Candidates should possess skills in various areas pertinent to patient care, including the management of cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring.
