Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years License: RN license required Certifications: BLS required - AHA ONLY Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Telemetry test pass required prior to start Description: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts, from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Epic experience is required. BLS certification is required, only from AHA. Traveler will be required to pass the telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience in the specialty they are submitting to. There will be a transparent pass/fail testing requirement with strict passing criteria. All travelers must be willing to float as needed. Travelers will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam; a passing score is 80% or higher. If a traveler does not pass after three attempts, the assignment will be canceled. Completion of patient care procedures, including telemetry monitoring and central line management, will be required as part of job duties. Emergency response, isolation precautions, and wound care management are essential skills needed. Experience with accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and managing peritoneal dialysis is advantageous. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and respond to substance withdrawal cases is required.
