The nurse will be required to manage patient assignments with a typical ratio of 1:5-6 during days and weekends, and 1:6 during nights. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes. The nurse will utilize telemetry monitoring and ensure effective communication with interdisciplinary team members. The role includes administration of medications and treatments as prescribed. The nurse will perform various nursing procedures and maintain accurate electronic documentation. Floating between medical, surgical, oncology, renal, and neuro units is expected. Important skills include central line care, dysrhythmia management, and wound care. The nurse should be proficient in IV management and telemetry interpretation. Adherence to safety protocols and effective use of equipment is essential. The candidate must be flexible and adaptable to meet changing patient care needs.
