Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years recent Med Surg experience, including charge RN experience License: Vermont RN License or Compact Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: - Charge RN experience - Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) - Must float to any unit within scope of practice - Candidate must have own vehicle Description: The role involves coordinating total nursing care for patients. Nurses will participate in patient and family teaching. The position provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting is required. Travelers must be willing to work as a backup Charge Nurse. The nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 4 or 5. The average daily patient census is 22. Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and verified before submission. No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Candidates must include their permanent address in their profile. All required documentation must be uploaded, including relevant skills checklists and supervisory-signed references. Call-offs are subject to a strict attendance policy, where after 3 call-offs, a traveler's contract may be terminated. Every other weekend and holidays may be required as needed. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible.
