Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Med Surg/Telemetry specialty. This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Provide leadership and work cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting.
• May be asked to act as a backup Charge Nurse.
• Float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units as necessary and within scope of practice.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour workweek guarantee.
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed.
• On-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg and Rehabilitation experience.
• Charge RN experience is mandatory.
• Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Valid Vermont RN License or Compact License.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Must have reliable transportation as this is a small community without public transport.
• Permanent address must be provided upon application.

Notes

• Requested time off must be indicated prior to submission and should not exceed 5 days.
• Travelers must be willing to float to any unit within their scope of practice.
• All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; subsequent requests will not be considered.

Attendance Policy

• Call-offs will be tracked and may lead to contract termination after three occurrences.
• Each call-off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance.
