Description:
This position involves working as part of a team-based care delivery model.
The team includes bedside Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and Virtual Nurses.
Staff members care for patients with various medical and telemetry needs, including acute and chronic illnesses such as sepsis, respiratory issues, and cardiac disease.
Responsibilities include managing titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, and high oxygen delivery systems.
This unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:8 during the day and 1:9 at night.
The model promotes teamwork, communication, and effective use of each team member's strengths and skills.
Weekend shifts will include working 4 weekends out of 8 possible within a 4-week period.
Travelers will be expected to work two out of three major holidays.
Candidates must comply with a nicotine-free policy.
Floating to other medical-surgical units may be required to meet staffing needs.
