Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Cardiac/Neuro unit. This position requires a high level of knowledge and proficiency in caring for cardiac and neuro patients.

Shift Information

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday availability required, if needed

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac and neuro conditions.
• Ensure comprehensive patient assessments and documentation are completed accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings.
• Assist in the education of patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Willingness to float to other units as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of current experience in Medical Surgical, Cardiac, or Neuro nursing.
• Experience with telemetry required.
• Completion of a basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly required.
• Proficiency in Meditech Expanse is preferred.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be obtained prior to submission.
• Candidates must have their own transportation.
• All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission.

Unit Information

• Unit size: 20 to 34 beds.
• Patient nurse ratio typically 1:6.
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.

• Completed skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical nursing, current within one year.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
• Valid Massachusetts RN license must be included in application.
