Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry is sought for a position located in Reno, Nevada. The role involves providing high-quality patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations within a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients with conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, Covid, and post-procedure care, including patients with pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab interventions. The position demands clinical excellence and a collaborative approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Location: 10101 Double R Blvd, Reno, NV 89521
  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, minimum 2 years telemetry experience, ability to pass a telemetry competency exam.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with non-titratable cardiac medication drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro) and a proven track record in telemetry.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other units such as intensive care, medical-surgical, or to a regional facility, within the nurse's competency level.
  • Additional Information: The role may require working major holidays and additional shifts as needed. The employer reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty with 48-hour notice, based on census and operational needs. The hospital is a busy, high-acuity Level II Trauma Center with accreditation in stroke care, serving a large geographic region.
