The unit focuses on the care of patients post-operative from orthopedic spine surgeries. The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care, including pain management and physical therapy. The nurse will manage patients with various diagnoses such as medical/surgical, telemetry, and cardiac issues. Must be able to float to other units as needed, but preference will be given to keeping staff in their home unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5-6. Additional required clinical skills include bedside procedures such as lumbar puncture and post-surgical care. The unit consists of 26 beds and specializes in integrated pain management and mobility support. The candidate must have experience with telemetry and managing patients with diabetes, hypertension, and COPD. Successful completion of nursing modules and compliance requirements is essential before the start of the contract.
