Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients on the medical-surgical unit, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing while adhering to clinical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active MA Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• 3-4 years of recent experience in a medical-surgical unit.
• Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS required.

Shift Information

This position is for night shifts, working 3 x 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Nursing Ratios

Patient-to-nurse ratios are as follows:

• 1:4 or 1:5 on days and evenings.
• 1:6 or 1:7 on nights.
