Description:
This is a Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN position.
The shift is a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.
You will be responsible for caring for a patient population that includes adults and geriatrics.
Patient ratios are typically 1:5, which may adjust to 1:6 or 1:7 in certain situations.
The unit has a variety of patient diagnoses, including acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, congestive heart failure, unstable arrhythmias, and other cardiac disorders.
Experience with post-cardiac catheterization and post-angiogram procedures is required.
Candidates should be comfortable floating within the scope of their practice.
Weekend availability is required, with rotation every other weekend.
Candidates must have experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them effectively.
The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
References from two managers or charge nurses within the past two years are required.
This role does not permit blocking of schedules and requires flexibility in working hours.
All candidates must adhere to the facility's vaccination requirements.

This position involves participation in various procedures, including cardioversion, TEE, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsy, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and paracentesis.
Preferred experience includes working in a fast-paced unit with high patient turnover.
A good working proficiency in the use of telemetry monitoring equipment is necessary.
An interest in providing excellent patient care and a willingness to engage in continuous learning are essential for success in this role.
