Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Castro Valley, California.

Job Description & Requirements

The traveler will float among multiple Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units within their scope of practice.
 

This position is ideal for an adaptable RN who is comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients across multiple MS/Tele environments and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
 

Requirements

  • Active California RN License
  • BLS and ACLS – AHA or ARC accepted
  • NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • MS/Telemetry experience
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Telemetry experience
  • Previous Charge RN experience: 2 years preferred/required per facility profile
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Travel experience: not required
  • Prior LTAC experience: not required

Patient & Staffing Details

  • Patient ratio: 1:5 on days, nights, and weekends
  • Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
  • Float: Required among applicable MS/Tele units within scope
  • Call: None
  • Weekend coverage: Required
  • Interdisciplinary support: PT, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Phlebotomy, Transportation, Interpretation Services, Unit Secretary, and Rapid Response Team
