Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Medical Telemetry to join our team on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will be proficient in patient care in both telemetry and intermediate care settings.

Position Information

• Role: RN
• Specialty: Medical Telemetry, Intermediate Care
• Shift: Day and Night
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 36 (every other weekend)
• Call Requirements: None
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1-2 years
• Float Requirements: Possible rotation to other IMC level care units and med/surg units as needed

Education & Certifications Required

• Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Education Modules: Mandatory onboarding education specific to the unit

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 43
• Patient Ratios:
  • Day Shift Med/Surg: 1:4-5
  • Night Shift Med/Surg: 1:5-6
  • Day and Night IMC: 3:1
• Equipment: Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, IV pumps, PCA pumps, and specialty beds
• EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile

• Must Have Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with ventilators
  • Proficient in managing tracheostomies
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in respiratory, medical telemetry, surgical care, and acute medical conditions
• Personality Fit: Strong team player, adaptable, effective communicator, and committed to patient-centered care
