Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Must have an active multi-state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 1 year of EPIC experience required Orthopedic experience required Description: Position available for a Registered Nurse in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting. The unit focuses on orthopedic spine care, specializing in spinal surgeries. Patient diagnoses include a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry conditions. The nurse will provide comprehensive care, including pain management and mobility support. The nurse will perform special procedures, such as bedside lumbar puncture and post-surgical care. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:5-6. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. This role requires close monitoring of patients and effective communication with the healthcare team. Experience with various patient demographics and conditions is essential. Compliance with facility policies is expected throughout the duration of the assignment.
