Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Neuro

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Neuro to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, as well as float to various units as needed.

Position Details

• Unit Type: Medical Surgical
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Requirements: Weekend days only; includes every other weekend and holiday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and document nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and complete various nursing tasks as required.
• Provide care for neuro patients, as well as general med/surg patients.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Float to all medical/surgical units within multiple locations as needed based on patient care demands.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent medical surgical nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds).
• Travel Experience: Prior travel nursing experience with successful assignments is essential.
• Trauma Experience: Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
• Licensure: Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state. Must be willing to obtain a North Dakota license if not currently held.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.
• Software: Proficiency in Epic EMR is highly beneficial.
• Floating Requirement: Willingness to float to various units as needed in the region.

Unit Information

• Bed Capacity: 32 beds
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4-5:1 on day shift, 6:1 on night shift.

Additional Information

• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
