• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day and night rotation; typically 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Floating: May float to similar patient care units as needed

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med-Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Willingness to work rotating days and nights, including every other holiday
• Must have required credentials active and available at the time of submission

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients in an acute care hospital
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient status, and respond appropriately
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and maintain a safe, efficient, and organized workflow
• Support a patient population that may require floating to similar units with the same level of care
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on quality, safety, and excellent patient care
