- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Schedule: Day 3x12 (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12 (19:00 - 07:30)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Additional Notes: May float to like-skill units as needed
Job Requirements
- 18 months of combined permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty
- 18 months of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience required; travel RN experience may count
- Active permanent Ohio nursing license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
- Must be available to work at least every other holiday
- Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Strong telemetry rhythm recognition and med/surg clinical skills required
- Compliance items, background review, and required screenings must be completed on time
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to med/surg and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly escalate changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and support individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float to similar patient care units when needed to support operational needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and best practices
- Participate in orientation, testing, and ongoing competency requirements
- Deliver compassionate care while adapting to a rotating schedule in a supportive team environment
