Absolute Minimum Qualifications & Departmental Hardstops:

• Licensure Mandate: Active, unencumbered Washington State RN License held in hand at submission.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum 3+ years of recent Medical-Surgical / PCU / Telemetry RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Flexibility Requirement: Must be experienced across all MedSurg/PCU domains and willing to flex between departments as needed.
• EHR Proficiency: Mandatory Meditech EMR experience.
• Mandatory Certifications:
  • Active AHA BLS
  • Active AHA ACLS
• Holiday Commitment Hardstop: Submissions MUST have minimal RTO dates across the upcoming holiday season. High-RTO submissions will be rejected.

Job Summary & Clinical Scope

A hospital in Clarkston, WA is seeking 3 experienced MedSurg / PCU Registered Nurses (RN MSU/PCU) for 13-week night contracts. Operating within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (Level 4 Trauma Center), the RN will provide comprehensive direct bedside nursing care, continuous telemetry monitoring, and patient education across combined medical-surgical and progressive care patient populations.

• Progressive & Medical-Surgical Nursing: Direct bedside care and clinical monitoring for complex acute adult inpatient populations requiring intermediate PCU or general medical-surgical management.
• Cardiac Telemetry & Technical Operation: Demonstrate operational mastery and troubleshooting of PCU/Telemetry monitoring systems; recognize dysrhythmias and execute immediate clinical interventions.
• Order Execution & Triage Communication: Complete 24-hour order checks, process physician orders accurately, execute critical lab reporting per policy, and lead thorough end-of-shift bedside handoffs.
• Safety, Infection Control & Patient Care: Enforce infection control/isolation protocols, maintain restraint documentation according to policy, manage emergency cart restocks, and deliver individualized patient/family education.
