Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ED License: Current RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Must be willing to float to MS/Tele when not utilized in ED holding. - Charge experience preferred. - Experience with Epic charting system preferred. - Willingness to complete 7-year work history verification. Description: This position involves holding and supporting patients in the emergency department. The RN should demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice. Knowledge of pathophysiology and pharmacological implications is essential. Understanding of regulatory issues and service line disease processes is required. Accurate and thorough documentation of assessments is crucial. Clinical procedures such as IV placement, Foley catheter insertion, and dressing changes are expected. The RN will provide effective patient and family education. Meeting standards in the proper use of telemonitoring, medication administration, and ventilation is necessary. Recognizing changes in patient condition is a key responsibility. The RN will model safety behaviors and report errors or near misses. Acting as a patient advocate is an important aspect of this role. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required. Accepting constructive feedback is essential. Maintaining a professional appearance and completing tasks in a timely manner is expected. Taking initiative and conducting necessary follow-up are part of the job responsibilities.
