Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
 

Location: Cleveland, OH 44195
Facility: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Hospital
Contract Length: 20 Weeks (13-week contracts also accepted)
Shift: Rotating Days/Nights | 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
 

Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join its inpatient team. This position requires flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts based on operational needs. While the facility will make every effort to honor a traveler's preferred shift, shift rotation may be required.

Travelers should be comfortable floating to designated units caring for the same patient population and may be assigned patients requiring ventilator support.
 

Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts
  • Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Rotating day/night schedule as needed to meet hospital operational needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Travelers must work at least every other holiday

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty
• Minimum 18 months of recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience
  • Recent travel experience may be used to satisfy the recent Med/Surg Tele experience requirement
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must possess an active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License before submission

Required Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• NIHSS

Required Clinical Skills

Candidates should have experience with:

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry patient care
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring
• ECG rhythm recognition
• Care of medically complex adult patients
• Ability to care for patients requiring ventilator support, if assigned
• Safe medication administration

Floating Requirements

Candidates must be willing to float, as needed, to:

• J1-2
• J33
• Emergency Department (ED) to care for the same patient population

Notes

• 18 months of combined permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty
• 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• NIHSS certification
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts
• Willingness to float to J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Ability to complete and pass the ECG Rhythm Recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
