Travel RN – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (Unit 7D)
CRITICAL Auto-Offer & Submission Requirements
- Interview Process:AUTO-OFFER! Offers are extended directly based on profile review.
- Guaranteed Hours Option:36 or 48 Hours/Week options available (Must be explicitly requested on the initial submission form).
- Orientation Notice: Night shift nurses must orient on Day Shift for their first full week and must have open availability that entire week.
- RTO & Contingency Rules:
- All RTO and blocked schedule requests must be included on the submission form.
- No RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment.
- Maximum of 1 holiday RTO request per contract.
- Approved RTO days must be made up on the back end of the assignment.
- Flu Vaccine Requirement: Mandatory Flu Vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required from November 1 to April 1 (declinations are not accepted).
Contract Details
- Location: Springfield, MO (Mercy Hospital Springfield)
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Length: 13 weeks
- On-Call: None required!
- Floating: Float on a rotational basis to like units as needed.
- Dress Code:Strictly Black Scrubs only(no other colors or patterns permitted).
Facility & Unit Overview (Unit 7D)
- Facility Scale: Mercy Hospital Springfield is an 860+ bed Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center, Primary Stroke Center, and top-rated regional teaching hospital.
- Unit Footprint: 24-bed Med-Tele / Observation unit (7D).
- Charting System:EPIC
- Patient Ratios: Night ratios are typically 1:6–1:7 (varies based on daily patient acuity).
- Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps.
Requirements & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of current inpatient Telemetry experience.
- Clinical Skills: Proven competence in cardiac drug titration is required.
- License: Active Missouri (MO) or multi-state Compact RN license.
- Certifications:
- AHA BLS (Strictly American Heart Association only).
- NIHSS (May be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start).
