Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years in telemetry nursing License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA; NIHSS preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2+ years of telemetry nursing experience Team player with a focus on positive patient outcomes Superior communication skills Description: This position involves performing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments. The goal is to optimize patient care and comfort. The position functions within the established guidelines of nursing practice in Missouri. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and at least one major winter holiday. Night shift personnel will undergo day shift orientation. Requested time off up to 5 days in each 13 weeks may be automatically approved. The patient care ratios on the unit are approximately 4-6 patients per nurse.
