Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week. Must work 12-16 weekend shifts per contract. Patient ratio 1:5-6. Contract length: 13-20 weeks available.

Med-Surg unit with telemetry monitoring, caring for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleeds, hip fractures, and other typical medical-surgical conditions

EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
24-hour orientation period with full hospital orientation during first week
41-bed unit with dedicated isolation area and multi-level care capabilities

Requirements:
Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
Current BLS/BCLS certification required
Must demonstrate proficiency in Med-Surg and Telemetry skills including remote monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central and peripheral line management, wound care/wound vac, PCA pumps, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and isolation precautions
Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
Experience with colostomy care, feeding tube management, pre/post hemodialysis management, PICC line management, IV starts, phlebotomy, and non-invasive airway management required
Ability to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team and report during catastrophic events or disasters as required
Preferred Qualifications:
EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
Previous charge nurse experience a plus
Experience with port access, CVA patients, surgical drains, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy management beneficial
