Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,623 per week in Columbia, SC

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Orthopedic Spine) – South Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement (6 weekend shifts per contract); patient ratio 1:5-6; 12 hours of orientation provided

Highlights:

• Specialized 26-bed orthopedic spine unit focusing on post-operative care for spinal surgeries including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies
• Comprehensive patient care including pain management, physical therapy, and mobility support with telemetry monitoring capabilities
• 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required; special procedures include post-catheterization care, bedside lumbar punctures, heparin drips, and post-surgical monitoring
• Diverse patient diagnoses including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and DVT/PE
• Located at a Level I Adult Trauma Center and regional teaching medical center with 641 licensed beds
• First-time travelers welcome; flexible time-off requests considered when submitted with application

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina or multistate RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent RN experience required
• Orthopedic experience required
• 1 year of EPIC charting experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Dysrhythmia certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with 5-6 patient ratios preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
