Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Tele

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Tele to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients in need of specialized medical and surgical telemetry services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a specialized Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications, and manage treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patients’ needs.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment options.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist in post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Float to other units (e.g., J1-2, J33, and ED) as needed to support patient care.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days and nights, in order to meet operational needs.
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday.
