NIGHT-SHIFT MED SURG TELEMETRY RN CONTRACT – HIGH-ACUITY UPSTATE NEW YORK MEDICAL CENTER

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for a highly experienced Med Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) in Johnson City, New York. Operating within the Med Surg NT 4 department at UHS Wilson Medical Center, this position offers a structured 3x12 overnight schedule. If you are a seasoned acute care nurse with 5+ years of clinical experience looking to secure a solid East Coast pay package with tax-free stipends and manage diverse adult medical conditions, this contract is built for you!

 

PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,633.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,337.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $36.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $54.00/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (12-hour nights). Block scheduling configurations cannot be accommodated.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW) coverage expectation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday rotation).
  • On-Call Requirements: Completely free from standard mandatory on-call standby commitments.
  • Clinical Scope & Case Mix: General Medical-Surgical Telemetry floor managing adult acute care populations. Common patient diagnoses encompass Pneumonia, COPD, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), and Osteomyelitis.
  • EMR Charting System: Epic charting experience is preferred.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of direct clinical Med Surg / Telemetry RN experience is strictly required.
  • Licensure: Valid New York State (NYS) RN License must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
  • Certifications Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) provider credentials are mandatory.
