Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekdays with every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 838-bed Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital affiliated with the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems
• Full telemetry unit with 16 monitored pulmonary/cardiac beds serving adult and geriatric populations
• Centralized monitoring with dedicated telemetry technician support and 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Cerner charting system with team nursing model and IV team support
• 36 hours guaranteed weekly with float responsibilities to similar telemetry units as needed
• Orientation held every other Thursday with 16 hours of dedicated onboarding

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Experience with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with 1:5 patient ratios preferred
• Two professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) unless medical exemption provided
