Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM; 36 or 48 hours per week; Every other weekend required; Float as needed

Highlights:

• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 in a dynamic Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Contract lengths from 13 to 26 weeks available
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Comprehensive 24-hour orientation with structured onboarding during week one
• Multi-level care environment with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Experience with heparin drips, insulin protocols, dysrhythmia management, and wound care/wound vac

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical or Telemetry nursing experience
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Proficiency in blood product administration, isolation precautions, IV insulin and heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, non-invasive airway management, PCA, peripheral line care, and wound care

• Navy scrubs required
• Floating within the facility may be required based on patient care needs
• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or disasters
• Pre-approved time off limited; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Pre-start online modules (8-10 hours) required and completed on your own time using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
