Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide care in a float pool capacity, where the RN will be expected to move between various Medical-Surgical Telemetry units as needed. The role includes night shifts, along with weekend and holiday responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in multiple Medical-Surgical Telemetry units.
• Float to like units and overflow areas as required by staffing needs.
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients, ensuring adherence to critical paths.
• Participate in patient education and engage in professional development activities.
• Maintain current knowledge of best practices in telemetry nursing.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ability to pass a Telemetry Competency Exam.
• Experience as a Charge Nurse is preferred.
• Knowledge of critical nursing practices and pathways.

Testing Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding. These tests will be administered via a virtual meeting platform, and candidates should prepare adequately using provided study materials. A minimum score of 85% is required to pass, and there is no opportunity for remediation.

Orientation and Interview Process

Orientation sessions occur biweekly, and interviews will be conducted by the Nurse Manager. Please be prepared to share your availability for an interview along with any requests for time off at the time of submission.
