Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool. This position requires the ability to float to all Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Med-Surg Telemetry with a focus on patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on various Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors.
• Float as required to similar units and overflow areas.
• Participate in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
• Ability to pass the Telemetry Competency Exam.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHABLS) Certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from AHA is required.
• Documented professional development activities.
• Charge Nurse experience is preferred.

Orientation and Training

Orientation sessions are conducted biweekly. Candidates will be interviewed by the Nurse Manager, and offers will be communicated promptly.

Testing Requirements

During onboarding, candidates will be required to complete a Dysrhythmia and Medications test via Zoom Protector meeting. Testing must be completed within 48 hours of the job offer. A passing score of 85% is required, and no remediation opportunities will be provided. Candidates are encouraged to utilize the Study Guide provided for preparation.

Availability

Candidates must be available for night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. All specific requests for time off must be communicated at the time of submission.

Note: Candidates who have worked in any capacity for the organization within the last six months will not be considered.
