Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position in Rochester, New York. This role involves providing care within a cardiac unit, requiring candidates to have a minimum of one year of recent experience. The position emphasizes proficiency in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, phlebotomy, IV placement, and utilizing rapid response teams. The schedule includes night shifts with a total of 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts (12 hours), minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026.
- Required Qualifications: 1 year of recent clinical experience; NY state license in hand; current BLS and NIHSS certifications; proficiency in MS (Medical Surgical) and Telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams, peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, and IV placement.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic charting experience.
- Float: Float within the scope to meet facility needs and between similar units may be required.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have a mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement. All travelers are expected to float and work within the clinical scope outlined. Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted. Recent experience, NY license, and module completion are required prior to start.
