Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Cambridge, MA

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights
• Expected Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours every two weeks, excluding any on-call time worked
• Work Location: On-site in Cambridge, Massachusetts, near Boston

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Epic electronic medical record experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to adapt quickly and provide safe, efficient care across multiple inpatient units

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Complete patient assessments, medication administration, clinical documentation, and care coordination in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float between assigned inpatient units as needed while maintaining safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Respond effectively to changes in clinical status and participate in emergency interventions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional nursing standards, and patient safety practices
