Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry Contract in Needham, Massachusetts

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Location: Needham, Massachusetts
• Healthcare Setting: Nursing Float Pool
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, including 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays
• Start Date: January 4, 2027
• Contract Duration: 8-week travel nursing contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call time

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification
• Recent Epic electronic medical record experience
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Complete focused nursing assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate effective patient care
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Promote patient safety, comfort, dignity, and continuity of care throughout the travel assignment
