Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to pass a Telemetry Competency Exam
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification required
• Must pass ECG/telemetry and medication testing during onboarding on the first attempt
• Strong working knowledge of critical paths and acute care workflows
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Professional development activities documented

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Float to all Med/Surg Telemetry floors and overflow areas as needed
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care plans
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold unit standards
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs across like units and various clinical settings
