Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: Temporary/Travel Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-2+ years in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry License: Active Massachusetts RN license Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: - Travel experience - EPIC experience - Ability to identify rhythms every four hours - Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole is a plus Description: This position involves providing nursing care on a Medical-Surgical unit. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions and identifying rhythms every four hours. Candidates should have experience with post-operative surgery, general medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, and vascular procedures. Common patient conditions include heart failure, chest pain, pneumonia, cellulitis, pancreatitis, alcohol withdrawal, and the management of various protocols for infusions. Nurses will also handle medications such as Heparin, TPN, Lasix, and Cardizem. The role includes working every other weekend and participating in holiday rotations. Floating to other units may be required if needed.
