Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry in the Boston, Massachusetts area. This position involves working in a dynamic hospital setting, providing patient care across various medical-surgical units with telemetry capabilities. The role requires adaptability to a rotating shift schedule and adherence to hospital protocols to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift schedule, with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The shift includes days, evenings, and nights, with every other weekend and holidays required.
- Required Qualifications: License as a Registered Nurse, 3+ years of related work experience, current MA license at time of submission, CPR-AHA, ACLS-AHA certifications, basic familiarity with computers, ability to navigate web-based applications, Epic experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise, Level I trauma experience.
- Additional Information: BILH Coversheet required at the time of submission. Orientation is weekly (every Monday barring a holiday). Travel RNs are assigned to a float pool supporting 15 medical-surgical units, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, urology, hips and joints, oncology, transplant liver and kidneys, and vascular. The medical patient ratios average 4:1 on days and 6:1 on nights. Travel RNs may receive assignments 2 hours before shifts and may be assigned for 2-3 weeks per unit. No set schedule is provided; however, requests for time off must be presented at time of submission. Parking may cost up to $43/day for working days, with public transportation available. Candidates must be separated from the facility's affiliated organization for at least 6 months to be considered.
