Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg and telemetry patients during day shifts
  • Monitor patients' cardiac and respiratory status, including telemetry readings
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical observations
  • Respond promptly to patient changes and emergencies

Requirements of the Travel Nurse
  • Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in MedSurg and telemetry nursing
