Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with various diagnoses, including post-surgical recovery, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, and cancer, in a diverse and dynamic environment. The position requires working night shifts and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care.

Job Details

• Location: 7 west/7 east/5 east, with accommodations to float to up to 06E, acute rehab unit, and geriatric psych unit if needed.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; minimum two years of relevant surgical or telemetry nursing experience; valid license to submit; drivers license; and compliance with immunization requirements including COVID-19 vaccination status.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast-paced acute care environment; proficiency in electronic medical records system Epic; and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including those speaking Korean or African American culture.
• Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and value the care of patients and team members. Knowledge of the hospitals charting system (Epic) and the ability to pass a skills exam during orientation are required. The unit serves adult patients with a small number of pediatric cases and typically manages diagnoses such as post-surgical recovery, chronic conditions, and acute illnesses.
