Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for an opportunity within a medical surgical float pool. The position supports multiple medical and surgical units, providing care to a diverse patient population. Below are the details regarding the schedule, responsibilities, and qualifications required for this role.

Schedule

• 8-week assignment with a start date of January 4th
• Rotating shifts of 8 and 12 hours, including both days and nights
• Every other weekend and holiday work is required

Role Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a float pool setting, rotating among 15 different medical surgical units.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Perform unit-specific procedures including 12-lead EKGs, administering nebulizers, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring.
• Support patient care across various specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, oncology, and more.
• Maintain appropriate patient care ratios; typically, 4:1 on days and 6:1 on nights.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license required in the state of practice.
• A minimum of 3 years related work experience, with prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in a teaching hospital, and possession of specialty area expertise, is desirable.
• Level I trauma experience required.
• Current CPR-AHA and ACLS-AHA certifications.
• Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate web-based applications is necessary.
• Experience with Epic software is required.

• Orientation for new hires occurs weekly on Mondays, except during holidays.
• Availability for assignments may change, with some assignments assigned up to 2 hours before shifts.
