Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for our Float Pool. The ideal candidate must be willing to float between eight different units within the organization. This role requires a versatile nurse who can adapt to various settings while delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Overview

This position involves rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with a commitment to working weekends. The RN will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips.

Key Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas.
• Conduct telemetry monitoring, measuring intervals, and interpreting strips every four hours.
• Administrate cardiac drips and effectively communicate with the healthcare team.
• Provide care for patients in various departments, including medication nursing in acute mental health units and caring for non-vented patients in the ICU.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN License.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience.
• Must have two years of experience as a Traveler nurse.

Patient Care Environment

The average clinician-to-patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days and evenings, and 6:1 during nights. The facility operates with a total bed count of 371, with various units ranging from 8 to 41 beds.

Technology Use

Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is preferred for efficient charting and patient management.
